As you know by now, we are a few ladies who didn't want to work outside the home. We have many friends in town. Glassburns Pottery are among our friends. They have sold pottery and other gift shop trinkets since, my parents owned and operated a couple truck stops, way back in the 60's. I remember going there when I was a kid, so mom could buy nic nacs for the truck stop's gift shop. You can still find the cool junk there and now you can find candle crocks there as well.

Pour wax into these containers at 150 degrees. We never pour wax hotter then that. We use the small wick (44-24-18 zink) for these candle containers. We never use lead wicks.

Glassburns is open from 9 am to 5 pm Monday thru Saturday. They are located in Chillicothe, Ohio. We sell the candle supplies, but Glassburns has candle container at reasonable prices for those of you close enough to drive.
Although container candles are easy and fast to make, we are only making advanced hand made individual faux food candles. It isn't that we don't like containers, but we are a small family business, just a few of us gals wanting to stay home and make sure the family is taken care of. We like to express our artistic talents, so we make the faux food candles. instead.
Candle containers are a fast way to make a few extra buck at the craft shows, church bazarrs, flea markets, and for family and friends. You can find rusty lids on line and put these on top of mason jars from Krogers or Walmart. These make really nice rustic candles.
